Our circle groups are involved in church and community mission projects: to name a few: preparing funeral meals, visiting local nursing home and rehab facilities, sponsoring missionaries, Blessings in a Backpack preparation, Hem of His Garment project (providing needed items for refugees), providing items for Red Box Women’s Ministry project, Vintage Inn Cake Social, Uniform/Book Supply event, Martin County Toy Store at Christmas, Baptist Children’s Home Food Roundup.
Stitching for Angels
On February 2, 2018, Chase Jackson Johnson entered this world as a premature gift from God after a complicated pregnancy. His short 7 hour life touched many, many people and this group was started to honor him. Stitching For Angels makes angel gowns for babies who have passed away so the families can have something special to use for burials or keepsakes.
Annual Salad Supper
The Annual Salad Supper is normally held in September – all women of the church are invited to attend to help kick off the new church year. Everyone brings a favorite salad to share and a guest speaker involved in missions has historically been featured at this event. During the salad supper we collect the items for the Red Box Women’s Ministry project.
Women’s Ministry Sunday
Women’s Ministry Sunday is usually the last Sunday in February. The Women’s Ministry Team plan a Sunday to highlight “women in ministry” with a female guest speaker. In 2018 an entire weekend was devoted to providing the opportunity to hear Renee Crane on “Storying Through the Bible” using the storying cloth.

Memorial has five different women’s mission circle groups to get involved in:

Stitching for Angels
Stitching for Angels has an active Facebook community devoted to sharing pictures of gowns that have been sewn and deliveries to local hospitals. This is also where we keep everyone updated to when we are able to accept formal gowns and wedding dress donations used to make the angel gowns. You can get connected with this Facebook Community HERE.
