James joined Memorial Baptist as Pastor in July of 2022. He and his wife Kerri are originally from Tennessee where James was a firefighter and Kerri served as an assistance children’s director in their home church. They have served at various churches in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Georgia. He is a graduate of Liberty University and Luther Rice Seminary. James enjoys getting to know people and seeing lives changed through the power of the Gospel. Jane Ashley joined the staff as Children’s Minister in August of 2024 but she has been a member of MBC for over 15 years. She and her husband Jason both grew up in Williamston, met at Memorial Baptist in 2011, and have two children. Jane Ashley is a graduate of East Carolina University and has a background in Early Childhood Education. Before joining the staff of MBC, she worked as a Kindergarten teacher. Jane Ashley enjoys spending time with kids, teaching them about Jesus, and building relationships with their families.
